‘Mad Dog’ Morgan an infamous bush ranger was born in the Riverina District in the early 1860s. He had a great big bushy beard he tends to wear a hat and he had light skin. He had long and black hair. Morgan was a lone bushranger. Morgan committed highway Robbery and sentenced for 12 years of hard labour but on his 6th year he was given a ticket of leave. In august he stole a prize winning horse. Mid-1863 he was identified in many major robberies, murders and raids. A bounty was put upon his head reaching to £1000. Morgan was shot from behind by John Wendlan. Morgan died at about 1.45 p.m. on 9 April 1865.
